Am 13. Oktober gibt es ein absolutes SPECIAL im CAFE LEOPOLD. Im Zuge der BARCELONA SESSION holen wir zwei einzigartige DJs nach Wien, um eine Nacht lang katalanisches Lebensgefühl zu zelebrieren!

Zum einen DJ TILLO der bereits zweimal zum besten Hip Hop DJ Spaniens gekürt wurde, vor allem aber als OFFICIAL DJ der kubanischen Hip Hop Formation ORISHAS bekannt ist, zum anderen ANDY LOOP, Host der legendären BRAZELONA SESSIONS und verantwortlich für zahlreiche Produktionen und Remixes auf dem Label WONDERWHEEL RECORDINGS.

Den Local Support macht der einzigartige IRIEOLOGY, der sich in Vergangenheit mit PASSINJAH Sound und jetzt mit BASSTARDZ (in Kombination mit OLINCLUSIVE) in die Herzen der Tanzwütigen gespielt hat.

Als kleine Mitternachtseinlage werden BATALA AUSTRIA eine SAMBA Performance der Sonderklasse präsentieren.

is one of the most respected DJs of Spain, in his long and successful career he has worked with artists like Macaco, Orishas, Skratch comando, Ms Maiko, Tremendo, Arianna Puello, Zulu 9.30 and has acted in the best festivals in the world like Roskilde, Rock in Rio, Sonar festival, Vive Latino.

Talking about Dj Tillo is not just talking about a DJ, is to speak of a musician, a showman, an artist from the beginning back in the 90's has been a reference within and outside the hip hop movement, we can say that has built his prestige with his efforts and dedication to be a pioneer of turntablism, of his hands has born the most important group of DJs from Spain, "Skratch comando", a myth within and outside our borders, he´s a leader on the stage thanks to their shows and creativity, these are not mere words, the public has voted him twice as best DJ from Spain in the prestigious magazine "Hip Hop Nation", in summary a wyzard of vinyl.

ANDYLOOP

DJ Andyloop is one of the most influencial characters of the Global Beat scene in Barcelona – as a DJ , producer and as well as a club promoter. In the late 90s, he was part of the legendary Freitags-Bar in Berlin, a pioneering club of the Global Beat genre. In 2004, alongside the musician Wagner Pa, he founded the mythical and very successful “Brazelona Sessions” at Sala Sidecar(Barcelona) where he shared the stage the biggest names of Global Beat until 2010.

Andyloop is a born beat investigator who is always in touch with the new music that comes from the Balkans, New York, Latin America etc, creating a combination of eclectic urban sounds. His mixing style is smooth and fresh and his DJ-sets are full of rhythm, joy, positivism and color.

He was playing in a multitude of clubs and festivals in Europe, Latin America and United States. As a producer, he released several Remixes on labels like UrbanWorld (Copenhagen), Turntables on the Hudson and Wonderwheel (New York) or Nascense (London). He collaborated with producers and bands like Zulu 9.30, La Troba Kung-Fu, DJ Nickodemus, Los Chicos Altos and DJ Tillo (Macaco/Orishas).
With DJ Tillo he forms the DJ-team Global Duo.

IRIEOLOGY

Wer schon einmal auf einem seiner Gigs war, weiß was es heißt mit Irieology abzufeiern. Der enthusiastisch DJ aus Wien überzeugt mit einer Mischung aus allem, was die Alten und Jungen der Musikbranche zu bieten haben. Moderne Bass- und Funksounds, gekonnt kombiniert mit alten Hip-Hop Klassikern, machen Irieology zu einem Must-See der österreichischen DJ-Szene.
Ganz egal in welcher Stimmung man die Tanzfläche betritt, man wird sie voll ausgepowert wieder verlassen. Ob das Publikum oder Irieology selbst enthusiastischer abfeiern, ist wohl auch in Zukunft eine Frage des Augenmaßes. Alle Hände in die Luft. Hier kommt die Musik.
