Der junge Londoner Produzent Bobby Krlic aka The Haxan Cloak hat ein musikalisches Talent für düstere und verstörende Soundwelten, die den Hörer in eine eigene Welt eintauchen lassen.
Sein erstes Album für das Label Tri Angle (WIFE., Holy Other, Evian Christ) brachte ihm euphorische Reviews aus allen erdenklichen Ecken. "Excavation" ist voller magischer Momente, zusammengestrickt aus Drone, geisterhaften Soundcollagen und fließenden Sub-Bässen.

Bobby Krlic: “I'm absolutely terrified of death. It scares the living hell out of me. It's the unknown element that gets to me. It's the human condition to be afraid of the unknown. (…) Death represents moving away from earth. When I think of sounds that represent the earth, I think about acoustic instruments and field recordings-- so I went with the opposite of that on “Excavation”.”
