Das fünfte Studioalbum von LAMB OF GOD wird den Namen „WRATH" tragen und am 20. Februar 2009 über Roadrunner Records veröffentlicht. Produziert wurde das neue Werk von Josh Wilbur und aufgenommen in Studios in New York, Virginia sowie New Hampshire.
Bis Ende 2007 tourten LAMB OF GOD insgesamt 2 Jahre zum Grammy nominierten Album „Sacrament" und dokumentierten ihre Konzertreise auf der bereits erschienenen DVD „Walk with Me in Hell". 2008 verzichtete die Band dann gänzlich auf Konzerte um sich voll und ganz der Komposition von „WRATH" zu widmen.
"This album is going to surprise a lot of people," erzählt Drummer Chris Adler. "Typically bands that get to where we are in our career begin to slack off, smell the roses and regurgitate. We chose a different path. No one wants to hear another band member hyping a new record. "WRATH" needs no hype. We have topped ourselves and on February 20th you will feel it."
