Drcarlsonalbion ist das Nebenprojekt von Dylan Carlson, seines Zeichens Mastermind der Band Earth, in dem er sich seinen beiden Lieblingsinteressen (okkulte Folklore und britische Geschichte) widmet.
Carlsons größte Leidenschaft ist aber immer noch der Gitarrenton - tiefe, runtergestimmten Drones gepaart mit fast schon pedantischer Akkuratesse, dabei aber immer melodisch. Abschließend ein paar Worte des Meisters über die anstehende Tour.
„The Drcarlsonalbion/Rogier Smal duo tour expands on the previous Drcarlsonalbion tour of last year by incorporating free playing and improvisation on folkloric themes, while maintaining the repetative elements. Rogier Smal brings his unique and varied drumming to the mix (Dagora and many shows with Marshall Allen and Mick Pontius of Embryo are part of his CV) the duo will be playing material from a split 7" released in conjunction with the tour as well as expanding on material from the Drcarlsonalbion Latitudes and Hackney lass releases.
